Which concrete mix designs are suitable for the production of industrial floors and logistics areas in Germany?

We have compared the requirements from the DBV Code of Practice on Industrial Floors with the concrete mix designs commonly used in practice and have further examined which problems exist and which difficulties arise when limit values are undercut or exceeded.

The leaflet provides planners, ready-mix concrete producers and contractors with a good overview of working limit values and parameters.

Experts at AST will be happy to answer further questions and provide assistance with steel fiber concrete.

A lot of work and further exciting topics are currently pending.

For this purpose, the members of the AST have divided themselves into different working groups in order to be able to work on the individual topics in a concentrated and targeted manner.

During the last general meeting, our working groups completed a leaflet and an information sheet: The important fact sheet "Dosing of steel fibres for the production of test specimens for initial testing to determine the performance class" is now available. Feel free to download it directly and distribute it further.

There is actually a big misunderstanding in practice regarding the "stock gauge" mentioned in the guideline. We clarify!

On October 19 and 20, 2022, AST invited members to attend its regular general meeting.
The meeting was held at the premises of the member Schulz Concrete Engineering. The great participation and the lively exchange are signs for the enormous interest, for the need and the importance of the association and the topics.

On the internal agenda items, the results of the working groups were presented. On the second day, a leaflet "Initial tests for the determination of performance classes" and an information leaflet "Dowels in steel fibre reinforced concrete" have been adopted. Both documents are available here on the site at short notice and can be downloaded as PDF.
